NAB Membership...
NAB Membership includes the following:
- Current GCRC or NIH Clinical Center
- Bionutrition Managers
- Registered Dietitians
- Registered Dietetic Technicians
- Former GCRC or NIH Clinical Center
- Bionutrition Managers
- Registered Dietitians
There are several membership categories within NAB. See Association By-Laws for membership definitions. The categories are described below and are also displayed in a table.
Active Members are Bionutrition Managers and Registered Dietitians
employed at NIH GCRCs or the NIH Clinical Center who pay yearly dues.
Active members shall have the right to:
- Vote
- Hold elected office
- Chair or serve on committees
- Join the list serve
- Access the Members Only section of the NAB website
Associate Members are Bionutrition Managers and Registered Dietitians employed at NIH GCRCs or the NIH Clinical Center who do not pay yearly dues for Active membership. Associate members are not eligible to vote, hold elected office, chair a committee, or access the Members Only section of the NAB website, but shall have the right to:
- Serve on committees
- Join the list serve
New Members are Bionutrition Managers or Registered Dietitians
employed at NIH GCRCs or the NIH Clinical Center who become employed between
Annual Meetings.
New Members have access to the Members Only section of the NAB website
for 90 days following addition to the roster. After 90 days, a New
Member may choose to pay yearly dues to continue access to the Members Only
section of the NAB website or may become an Associate Member.
New Members are not eligible to vote, hold elected office, or chair a committee
until the first Annual Meeting following employment, but shall have the right
to:
- Serve on committees
- Join the list serve
Affiliate Members are Bionutrition Managers and Registered
Dietitians who have resigned NIH GCRCs or the NIH Clinical Center employment
and Registered Dietetic Technicians employed at NIH GCRCs or the NIH Clinical
Center.
Affiliate Members are not eligible to vote, hold elected office, chair or serve
on committees, or access the Members Only section of the NAB website, but shall
have the right to:
- Join the list serve
- If Affiliate Members pay the yearly membership dues, they may access the Members Only section of the NAB website
Membership dues contribute toward the expenses of the Annual
Meeting, website maintenance, and other purposes approved by the NAB Board
of Directors.
Annual dues are payable at the time of the Annual Meeting. If you are unable
to attend the Annual Meeting but would like to pay dues, you may submit a check
within a month after the Annual Meeting date (e.g. if the last day of the Annual
Meeting is May 1st, you should submit your check by June 1st). The business
year is from one Annual Meeting to the next.
